Our foundation in action
At Glynviah Roots, we turn compassion into action, aligning our work with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 3 Good Health & Well-being, SDG 8 (Decent Work & Economic Growth and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities.
The three boys pictured are among the vulnerable students we sponsor to attend boarding high school, receiving tuition, mentorship, and essential support. Through the "Sponsor a Primary and High School Children", so far we have helped over 16 students in 2026 to access quality education, improved retention rates, and empowered communities to break cycles of poverty.

Our Initiatives
We offer a range of specialised initiatives tailored to meet the critical needs of communities. Our approach delivers practical, measurable solutions, focusing on education, empowerment, and development.

Education (SDG 4): Over 16 plus Families and local community members are actively involved in our programmes, fostering local ownership and trust. Currently, 68+ women and families are participating through entrepreneurship and dance initiatives, building skills, income opportunities, and community connection. children sponsored to attend primary and high school, reducing on the 2.5 million children aged 4 to 17 are estimated to be out of school.

Poverty Reduction (SDG 1): 41 plus households supported through livelihood and basic needs programmes.

Decent Work & Economic Growth (SDG 8): 45plus youths trained in talent skills and entrepreneurship, income-generating activities.

Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10): Targeted support for underserved Sub-Saharan African communities, ensuring access to opportunities previously out of reach.

Glynviah Roots Foundation began with a deep passion to uplift underserved communities in Sub-Saharan Africa, starting in Bungoma County, Kenya. Founded by two women who grew up in different African villages, we truly understand the struggles of underserved communities, and we are driven by quality and integrity, ensuring every action reflects our commitment to excellence and lasting impact.
