Making a tangible difference

At Glynviah Roots Foundation, our commitment to transforming lives in Bungoma County, Kenya, is unwavering. Discover the real-world impact we're making, from education to community empowerment, and see how your support helps build brighter futures.

Our impact so far

Glynviah Roots Foundation has already made a tangible difference in the lives of children, families, and the community in Bungoma County. Through education sponsorships, four children are currently attending high school and two are in primary school, ensuring continued access to education. We've also supported fifteen out-of-school children, providing basic needs alongside their caregivers. Beneficiaries have received clothing, language allowances, and food donations, helping to relieve immediate hardship and provide stability. These programmes strengthen families’ ability to care for their children, reduce vulnerability, and foster hope for the future, creating safe, supportive environments for learning and growth.

Changing lives, one story at a time

Every life touched by Glynviah Roots Foundation tells a story of renewed hope and opportunity. Consider 'A Young Mother’s Second Chance': A teenage mother, struggling to care for her newborn, received clothing and food support. Today, connected with mentors, she's exploring independence, building a brighter future for her child. Our 'Sponsorship Opens Doors for Children' programme sees four high schoolers and two primary students gaining access to literacy, digital skills, and life skills, breaking cycles of poverty. We are 'Giving Families Hope Through Education', ensuring children previously unable to attend school are now enrolled, restoring dignity and enabling families to envision a brighter future.

Our impact by the numbers

Our commitment translates into tangible results: We currently support 6 children in school through sponsorship (4 in high school, 2 in primary school). 11 out-of-school children, along with 2 babies, are now receiving essential support while living with relatives or caregivers. Our youth talent development programmes are thriving, with Under-16 and Under-11 boys’ football teams gaining school acceptance, and traditional dance programmes generating income and preserving cultural heritage for youth and community members. Furthermore, 7 women have gained skills and income-generating opportunities through entrepreneurship programmes. Families continue to receive vital basic needs, including clothing, baby care items, and food donations. These combined efforts ensure children, youth, and families not only access education but also develop skills, talents, and sustainable livelihoods.

"Helping vulnerable children access education: Every child we sponsor, support, or empower to attend school represents a life transformed, opening the door to learning, opportunity, and a brighter future."
