Our core Initiative
Glynviah Roots Foundation empowers communities through its Holistic Community Empowerment Program, which integrates personal development, education, economic opportunity, and social support to create sustainable change. Rooted in local communities and led by lived experience, our approach ensures culturally relevant, authentic solutions that reflect the realities of those we serve. By strengthening skills, confidence, and local leadership, we foster individuals, families, and communities that are resilient, self-sustaining, and capable of driving lasting transformation for generations to come.
Academy development
Our mission is to provide orphaned and vulnerable children with education, essential support, and a safe place to call home. We are building a setting with a living Kayava perimeter fence, well digging and completed rooms. One of our founders will also be directly involved in teaching, supporting scholarships and education for primary and high school children. We are grateful to our donors and partners and continue to seek support to bring this vision to life and create a lasting impact for these children.
Primary School Sponsorships

Women Empowerment
The Movers are a group of determined women supported by Glynviah Roots Foundation through entrepreneurship and livelihood initiatives. Through training, mentorship, and income-generating activities — from farming to cereal selling — they are building financial independence, strengthening their families, and breaking cycles of poverty.
Traditional Dancers
Mvumilivu Cultural Dancers (Kamaveka) perform traditional Luhya dances at harvests, weddings, births, and other celebrations, uniting and educating communities through culture. Glynviah Roots supports them with mentorship, performance platforms, and talent development opportunities.

Adults Cloths Donations
Glynviah Roots Foundation supports orphaned and vulnerable children through education and essential care, ensuring continuous learning and holistic development. We also transport donated items to Kenya through luggage allowance to ensure vital supplies reach the communities we serve. Children's Cloths Donations
We welcome donations of baby clothes, children’s clothing, and garments for young people. Each item received is carefully sorted and thoughtfully distributed to the families and children who need them most. Your clothing donations not only meet immediate needs but also restore dignity, boost confidence, and ease the financial burden on vulnerable households. Every contribution makes a meaningful difference.
Our Current Priority
Our mission at Glynviah Roots Foundation is to provide orphaned and vulnerable children with education, essential support, and a safe place to call home . Our current focus is advancing the construction of a dedicated children’s home, including building a perimeter fence with a live Kayava hedge, preparing trailer accommodations for workers, ensuring water access, and completing the final rooms. We are actively working on land assessment and approvals to move the project forward and are seeking support to help make every step of this building project possible.
